August statt.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Zu den Veranstaltungen an den vier Festivaltagen werden rund 10 000 Besucher erwartet<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Die Veranstaltung findet in zehn Orten im Haferland statt: Arkeden\/Archita, Keisd\/Saschiz, Hamruden\/Homorod, Reps\/Rupea, Deutsch-Kreuz\/Cri\u021b, Radeln\/Roade\u0219, Meschendorf\/Me\u0219endorf, Klosdorf\/Cloa\u0219terf, Bodendorf\/Bune\u0219ti und Deutsch-Wei\u00dfkirch\/Viscri<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>W\u00e4hrend der vier Festivaltage k\u00f6nnen die Besucher an rund 70 Veranstaltungen teilnehmen: Auff\u00fchrungen f\u00fcr Erwachsene und Kinder, traditionelle Blasmusik-, Orgel- und Jazzkonzerte, Vortr\u00e4ge, gef\u00fchrte Wanderungen und Besichtigungen, Workshops und Ausstellungen<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Das zweite Jahr in Folge wird das Festival ein Abenteuer- und non-formales Bildungscamp f\u00fcr Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene veranstalten, in Zusammenarbeit mit The Duke of Edinburgh&#8217;s International Award, einer im Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreich gegr\u00fcndeten globalen Organisation.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bukarest, 28. Mai 2025. <\/strong>Die 13. Ausgabe der Kulturwoche Haferland, des beliebtesten kulturellen und ethnografischen Festivals der Siebenb\u00fcrger Sachsen, findet dieses Jahr vom 31. Juli bis zum 3. August statt. Erwartet werden rund 10.000 Besucher aus Rum\u00e4nien, der Europ\u00e4ischen Union, dem Nahen Osten und Nordamerika. Wie in den vergangenen Jahren wird das Festival in zehn Orten im Haferland (der deutsche Name f\u00fcr das Gebiet zwischen Hermannstadt\/Sibiu, Kronstadt\/Bra\u0219ov und Sch\u00e4\u00dfburg\/Sighi\u0219oara) stattfinden, die traditionell Gastgeber der Veranstaltung sind: Arkeden\/Archita, Keisd\/Saschiz, Hamruden\/Homorod, Reps\/Rupea, Deutsch-Kreuz\/Cri\u021b, Radeln\/Roade\u0219, Meschendorf\/Me\u0219endorf, Klosdorf\/Cloa\u0219terf, Bodendorf\/Bune\u0219ti und Deutsch-Wei\u00dfkirch\/Viscri.<\/p>\n<p>W\u00e4hrend der vier Festivaltage k\u00f6nnen die Besucher rund 50 Veranstaltungen besuchen: Konzerte, Theatervorstellungen f\u00fcr Erwachsene und Kinder, traditionelle Tanzvorf\u00fchrungen, Konferenzen, F\u00fchrungen, Verkostungen, Handwerk-Workshops, Ausstellungen usw.<\/p>\n<p>Zu den etablierten Veranstaltungen des Festivals geh\u00f6ren die s\u00e4chsischen Blasmusikkonzerte, Volkst\u00e4nze, Konzerte mit religi\u00f6ser Musik, Barockmusik und Jazz sowie der traditionelle s\u00e4chsische Ball, der dieses Mal auf der Esplanade der Festung Reps\/Rupea stattfindet, einem ebenso gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigen wie spektakul\u00e4ren Platz mit einem einzigartigen Blick auf die Umgebung der Stadt.<\/p>\n<p>Eine mit Spannung erwartete Veranstaltung ist auch die Wanderung zur fast 700 Jahre alten Fluchtburg Keisd\/Saschiz, die eine F\u00fchrung durch die Festung und ein anschlie\u00dfendes Kulturpicknick beinhaltet. Die hiesige Kirche ist neben der Kirchenburg in Deutsch-Wei\u00dfkirch\/Viscri eines der beiden Gottesh\u00e4user im Haferland, die zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe geh\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n<p>Eine weitere einzigartige Veranstaltung &#8211; die erste ihrer Art, die w\u00e4hrend der Kulturwoche Haferland stattfindet &#8211; ist der &#8222;Urzelnlauf&#8220; aus Agnetheln\/Agnita, ein alter Brauch der s\u00e4chsischen Z\u00fcnfte aus dem Mittelalter. Diese Tradition markierte die \u00dcbergabe der Zunftloge an den neuen Zunftmeister der jeweiligen Handwerkszunft. Die Zeremonie fand am Ende eines Umzugs der Z\u00fcnfte statt, die von maskierten und mit Peitschen bewaffneten Gesellen, den sogenannten &#8222;Urzeln&#8220;, begleitet wurden. Die Rolle der &#8222;Urzeln&#8220;, die wahrscheinlich auf alte landwirtschaftliche Riten zur\u00fcckgehen, bestand darin, b\u00f6se Geister durch Peitschenknall zu vertreiben.<\/p>\n<p>Nach 1990, als die massive Auswanderung der Sachsen aus Agnetheln\/Agnita begann, starb der Brauch aus und wurde erst 2006 wiederbelebt. Sehr selten wurde der &#8222;Urzelnlauf&#8220; irgendwo anders als in Agnetheln\/Agnita aufgef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Kulturwoche Haferland<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>, ein Faktor der wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und kulturellen Entwicklung des gesamten Gebiets <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In den 13 Jahren ihres Bestehens hat die Kulturwoche Haferland mehr als 50.000 Besucher angezogen \u2013 siebenb\u00fcrgisch-s\u00e4chsische Auswanderer, die heute in Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich oder Nordamerika leben, Angeh\u00f6rige der s\u00e4chsischen Gemeinschaft in Rum\u00e4nien sowie Rum\u00e4nen, die von der Sch\u00f6nheit der s\u00e4chsischen D\u00f6rfer in S\u00fcdsiebenb\u00fcrgen beeindruckt sind. Hinzu kommen Besucher aus Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich, dem Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreich, den Niederlanden, Spanien, Israel, den USA und anderen L\u00e4ndern .<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8222;Seit ihrer Gr\u00fcndung ist die Kulturwoche Haferland zu einem der bekanntesten kulturellen Sommerereignisse geworden, das die M\u00f6glichkeit bietet, ausgewanderte Sachsen mit denen, die in ihrer Heimat geblieben sind, zusammenzubringen und gleichzeitig Werte wie Vielfalt, Toleranz, kulturelle Offenheit und wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit zu f\u00f6rdern&#8220;, <\/em>sagte Michael Schmidt, Pr\u00e4sident der M&amp;V Schmidt Stiftung, Veranstalter des Festivals. &#8222;<em>Dieser Erfolg ist auch Herrn Peter Maffay zu verdanken, einem geb\u00fcrtigen Kronst\u00e4dter und einem der gro\u00dfen deutschen Musiker, mit dem mich eine langj\u00e4hrige und dauerhafte Freundschaft verbindet. Herr Maffay ist \u00fcber die Tabaluga-Stiftung, eine von ihm vor vielen Jahren gegr\u00fcndete humanit\u00e4re Organisation, Mitinitiator des Festivals Kulturwoche Haferland.&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Die Kulturwoche Haferland leistet einen bedeutenden Beitrag zur Sensibilisierung f\u00fcr das materielle und immaterielle Erbe der s\u00e4chsischen Gemeinde im Haferland, die seit \u00fcber acht Jahrhunderten ununterbrochen in dieser Region lebt. Die weltliche und religi\u00f6se Architektur mit ihren befestigten Kirchenanlagen, die gleicherma\u00dfen dem spirituellen Leben wie dem Schutz der Gemeinschaft dienten, zeugt ebenso von diesem reichen Erbe wie die Sprache und die lebendigen Traditionen der Bewohner. Gemeinsam bilden sie ein europaweit einzigartiges Kulturerbe einer deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft, die im S\u00fcden Siebenb\u00fcrgens eine eigenst\u00e4ndige l\u00e4ndliche Zivilisation geschaffen hat.<\/p>\n<p>Das Festival bleibt ein zentraler Impulsgeber f\u00fcr die touristische, wirtschaftliche und gesellschaftliche Entwicklung des Haferlandes \u2013 einer von Landwirtschaft gepr\u00e4gten Region mit rauem Klima. Die Veranstaltung st\u00e4rkt lokale Initiativen im Bereich des Kultur-, \u00d6ko- und Abenteuertourismus entlang der Via Transilvanica und tr\u00e4gt so nachhaltig zur Belebung und Vernetzung der Region bei.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Youth Haferland, ein einzigartiges Erlebnis f\u00fcr junge Menschen, in Partnerschaft mit The Duke of Edinburgh&#8217;s International Award Romania<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dank der im letzten Jahr begonnenen Partnerschaft zwischen der M&amp;V Schmidt Stiftung und der Stiftung The Duke of Edinburgh&#8217;s International Award Romania verf\u00fcgt das Festival nun \u00fcber eine spezielle Komponente, die sich an ein junges Publikum richtet: die Initiative Youth Haferland, ein Bildungs- und Erlebniscamp, das darauf abzielt, Br\u00fccken zwischen jungen Menschen, Gemeinschaften und dem kulturellen Erbe zu schlagen, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf b\u00fcrgerschaftlichem Engagement und Identit\u00e4t liegt.<\/p>\n<p>Das weltweit durchgef\u00fchrte Programm &#8222;The Duke of Edinburgh&#8217;s International Award&#8220; bietet jungen Menschen zwischen 14 und 24 Jahren internationale Anerkennung und einen strukturierten Rahmen f\u00fcr non-formale Bildungsaktivit\u00e4ten. Auf internationaler Ebene steht das Programm unter der Schirmherrschaft von HRH The Duke of Edinburgh und auf nationaler Ebene unter der Schirmherrschaft von I.M. Margareta, H\u00fcterin der rum\u00e4nischen Krone.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Die 13.
